Finance Administrator (Part-time)
Job Description
My client is a leading Investment Management & Financial Planning firm based in Harrogate, providing sound Financial Advice and Wealth Management including Investments, Pensions, Retirement Planning.
We are urgently seeking a part-time (Mon – Fri 1pm – 5pm) Finance Administrator to assist with the smooth running of the cash department and its processes and to keep the Cash Manager up to date with any issues. You will specifically be responsible for:
On a Daily Basis:
Client Money Calculation
Check HSBC Net – allocate cash received
Auto Settlement
Market Maker Payments & Receipts
Income Payment Routine
Standing Order Routine
Setting up Standing Orders & Income Payments
Daily Payments BACS, CHAPS & Cheques
Posting POOL Cheques – Client & Transfers In
Posting ISA Cheques – Transfers In
Posting Commission Cheques/BACS
Posting Adhoc Fees
Re-Credit Fees
Posting CFPL Adhoc Fees
Cancelling Cheques
Processing Tax / Probate Invoices
Dividend Processing
Crest Cash Dividends
ISA Subscriptions / Withdrawals
Posting Events
Banking
Ad-Hoc Cash Statements
End of Day Procedure: Check RQQ1 / RQQ, Negative Balances Movement, Redmayne Bentley Check, Daily Commission Transfer
On a monthly basis:
1st Month Standing Order & Income Payments
Chase outstanding dividends
Review client debtors list – Probates and Tax
Petty Cash Rec and postings
On a quarterly basis:
CFPL Servicing Fees
Agent Commission Postings
Negative Balances Routine
We are seeking those who have worked ideally within the Financial Services industry, it would be ideal if you have worked within Financial Planning / Financial Advice sector previously. You MUST have previous experience of payment processing & transfers or within General Finance, if you have any experience with Banking platforms such as HSBC.net or Barclays.net that would be to your advantage. It would also be to your advantage if you have any specific Finance qualifications.
